What “Comment removed by community moderators” means

If other people see Comment removed by community moderators. where your comment used to be, it was taken down, either by the moderators of that community or by an automated filter that the site labels the same way. The site doesn't notify you.

Who sees what

Logged in, you still see your comment exactly as you wrote it, in the thread and on your profile. Everyone else sees the message instead of your words. Removed posts show Post removed by community moderators.

Nothing on your end looks wrong, which is why many people find out days later, or never.

Why it happens

• A moderator decided it broke a rule. Every community on patriots.win and scored.co sets its own rules. On TheDonald, for example, the sidebar rules include “Trump Supporters Only” and a rule against posting ban appeals or concerns about moderation.
• Or an automated filter did it. The site shows this same message for its automated “risk filter,” so it doesn't always mean a person read your comment.
• Upvotes don't protect a comment. Comments are sometimes removed after people have already read and upvoted them.

If the message ends with pending further review, the comment is being held while someone decides. It may still be approved and reappear.

A removal isn't a ban

A single removal usually leaves your account untouched. You can keep commenting, and nothing tells you which comments disappeared. If your comments show Comment removed upon the user being banned. instead, the account was banned; see what that message means.

How to check a comment yourself

1. Open the comment and copy its permalink.
2. Open a private or incognito window, so you're logged out.
3. Paste the link. If you see Comment removed by community moderators., or the comment isn't there, it's hidden from everyone but you.

What you can do

• Ask privately. If you think it was a mistake, send the community's moderators a private message. Public complaints about moderation are against the rules in some communities (TheDonald included) and can make things worse.
• Keep your own copy. Once a comment is removed, its text is blanked for everyone else.
• Don't delete your history if you might ever appeal a ban. TheDonald's moderators have said they review appeals only for accounts whose history is still there.
